The small but well developed resort is in the heart of Sweden and has fantastic snow conditions from the middle of December right through to the sunny days of spring. The right slopes for me?
Excellent: With almost half the runs in Idrefjäll consisting of beautiful rolling green slopes and tranquil tree lined beginner areas the new skier or snowboarder will find themselves spoilt for choice as they explore the fell from top to bottom.
Good: For the skier looking to improve Idrefjäll is a brilliant location with a choice of stunning blue runs to practice and improve on as well as a choice of reds to push yourself to that next stage. You’ll find the rolling slopes perfect for mastering the skill of carving.
Good: With the challenging 46o Chocken run and a variety of other black slopes to push yourself and get your legs going, the advanced skier will find the pistes of Idrefjäll a great warm up ground before you head into the off-piste powder available throughout the tree line.
Good: There is a well-provision snow park with a choice of jumps and obstacles for everyone from beginners to those after more advanced lines and more challenging obstacles. There are also dedicated ski school classes for those looking to improve their park skills.
Excellent: There is a pleasant 82km of well-maintained cross country trails in and around the village, with 30km of those floodlit for use in the evenings and earlier in the season. There are also dedicated cross country instructors available if you’re keen to learn this engaging sport or even to just improve your technique.
