snowboard ski 23 9 6 5

The small village of Stöten embodies Scandinavian skiing and hospitality at its best - friendly locals, a relaxed atmosphere and great snow conditions. A trip to this small village will be appreciated by all - great for beginners but with enough for those who want a few more challenges. The entire village is ski-in ski-out meaning stress free access to the slopes. Located on the north of the Sälen mountain range and boasting the highest peak, the views over the Norwegian mountains will leave a lasting memory. At just 25 minutes from the new Scandinavian Mountain airport you can be on the slopes in no time at all!

Family skiing in Stöten

With a large array of gentle green slopes that allow access to the majority of the mountain, Stöten is a paradise for families and beginners. A dedicated children’s area, 'Vargy land' is a great place for little ones to take their first turns. Miniature snow parks are a nice touch for budding daredevils too!

Stay in Stöten

Stöten is the ideal base for a relaxing ski holiday, yet the village still offers enough to be entertained. The right slopes for me?

Excellent: Stöten is excellent for families and beginners offering plenty of long greens and a dedicated children’s zone. Stöten has many greens runs at the top of the mountain so even beginners get to sample the stunning views the mountain offers.

Good: The uncrowded slopes are a great place to improve and practice with wide well-groomed runs that pass through the forest with a good mix of blues and reds.

Good: Stöten offers some good advanced skiing with some challenging blacks, and changing runs left ungroomed, there is also a snow park and ski cross area.

Cross country

Average: 45km's of trails mainly circle the resort and along the river although there are a couple of trails above the ski area which offer superb views over to the Norwegian mountains.

Good: There are two snow parks in Stöten with everything to you’ll need to work on your freestyle skills. One aimed at the younger boarders and is a miniature version of the main one. Both have a series of jumps, rails and boxes.

Activities & Après

Whilst the resort is more relaxed than others, there is still plenty to keep everyone busy:

  • Dog Sledding
  • Snowmobile Safari
  • Morning Skiing
  • Night Skiing
  • Bowling
  • Large Swimming pool
  • Suzuki 4x4 driving challenge

Older children and teens can visit the GameZone where there are activities and games for all ages. Après ski & eating out

The resort is generally family orientated but does offer après at the foot of the slopes and live music and live sports coverage in it's pub. There is a good choice of restaurants offering different cuisines.
